Decorative coating by sublimation |

Imitation of wood and marble |
|||
Under sublimation one understands in the finishing industry the transfer of paint/ink from a printed foil onto a polyester coating. This allows the decoration of subjects such as profiles, plates or floors with a decorative motiv. This happens under pressure and heat. The work- pieces to be decorated will be wrapped by the printed foil and the foil will be pressed onto the surface by pressure or vaccum. Under the evidence of temperature the paint/ink oft he foil will diffuse into the polyester coating.
This process is less used in Northern Europe. Phantasy can be without limits. Theoretically any subject can be imagined, but , widly accepted are mainly the immitation of wood motives such as wood invarious versions for windows, tables, banks. Also marble is very popular e.g. for tables and furnitures. Because this process is used for wood imitation mainly, SEF is marketing this process under the designation RealWood. SEF supplies complete systems composed of conveyor, foil wrapping and pressing equipment for the industrial sublimation process. SEF is a leader in design of industrial sublimation systems. |
